In the decadent surroundings of London’s 5* Hyatt Regency hotel, members of the MBA Brighton team enjoyed a day of content management action with other EPiServer partners and customers. The annual event focused on the latest version of the popular content management system, CMS 7. This upgrade aims to improve users’ ability to manage content seamlessly across screens and channels. In the new responsive world this will become ever more important for brands trying to reach consumers in clever and exciting ways.
Another focal point of the event was personalisation of website content, including a passionate presentation from Pizza Hut restaurants about their new website, which aims to make content more relevant by remembering a user’s journey. This capability also works well for retailers with large catalogues, allowing websites to pull in data from long-lost product ranges.
There was also an interesting discussion on the customer experience that has changed so much in recent years. Creative technology, such as Perch, is helping to create innovative campaigns such as Adidas’ NEO window shopping experience. Integrating this kind of digitally immersive consumer experience will be key to the success of well-known high street brands and established digital players alike.
Exciting times ahead…
