Clay Shirky on Creativity

25 mins of Shirky goodness. I particularly like the section towards the end which talks of there being no rules for creativity. Shirky talks about creativity being “creating valuable novelty”. Which means that everyone can be creative no matter what your myers-briggs results are or what your art teacher told you – creativity is not just the ability to draw or think of ads.

UNIQLO have created an alarm clock which wakes users up with a unique song every day, the lyrics and melody of which are derived from a mixture of the weather conditions, time and day of the week. Utterly weird, but also kind of cool.
